Asymptosis

Rapidly approaching the line

Yet never embracing the thought

you skim all that confines us

to this place that we have sought.

Never reaching the goal

but always riding a wave

that will take you to new vistas

memories of which you will save.

When you form a graceful curve

there is no end in sight

to your depths that are bound

to all that is free and light.

Your symmetric counterpart

moves in the other direction

seeking out the truth -

makes the proper connection.

An endless journey perhaps

a timeless destination

nothing left to grasp

to someone’s consternation.
